And Barcelona is also said to be monitoring his situation closely, but no official talks have taken place between the clubs yet.

But those reports have turned out to be false, according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, who cleared the air with a direct statement:

“It is completely false that Luis Díaz has decided to leave Liverpool.

In fact, talks for his contract renewal have already begun, and they are working on a longer contract with a salary increase.”

Since joining Liverpool from FC Porto in early 2022, Luis Díaz has grown into one of the team’s most influential players.
